3 Phase Training Approach


Mtn Ambition is designed & tested by women for women. This program incorporates both experience & strength + conditioning principles to best prepare your body for strong, pain-free adventures this summer.


The 12 week program is broken down into 3 phases:


FOUNDATIONS: In this phase, you'll lay the groundwork for continued progress by building a solid foundation of strength, stamina, & master proper technique. This phase is critical for preventing injury and ensuring your body is ready for more demanding & specialized training.


RISE & GRIND: This phase is all about building mountain specific strength, power, and muscular endurance. By the end of this phase, you'll have the strength & endurance to handle bigger adventures in the mountains.

PRIME TIME: In this phase, your focus will be on getting outside as much as possible. In training, this means we will focus on strength & power, but chop volume to limit fatigue. July & August are where you should really be crossing those summer adventures off your bucket list and GETTING AFTER IT.

Refine Your Lifts 101

Proper lifting technique is essential in order to maximize your training, move well, and prevent injury. This workshop will help you refine movements like the squat, deadlift, pushup, ect. so you can get stronger, faster. 

Power To The Pelvic Floor

Join Abby Stanislaw, DPT, OCS, as she shares the role of pelvic floor health in mountain athletes. In this session we will bust myths, chat pelvic floor issues, & bring awareness towards how to take care of your pelvic floor so you can optimize performance AT ANY AGE.

Nutrition To Fuel Your Stoke

In this workshop, dietitian & Colorado native Makayla Meixner will show us how to fuel the body properly to support hormonal balance, strength gains, and high energy adventures.

What's Up!


I'm Liz, the founder of Mountain Edge Performance and I'll be working with you throughout the entire summer as we move through the Mtn Ambition program!


When I first started climbing mountains 15 years ago, I had no idea what I was doing. Even though I was "training" I still felt exhausted most of the time & ended up dealing with chronic injuries.


After getting a degree in exercise science, obtaining my CSCS cert, working with hundreds of mountain athletes, and experimenting with new training methods overtime, I found the secret sauce. 


My training looks VERY different than it did 10-15 years ago. I now incorporate both my experience & strength + conditioning principles to prepare the body for strong, pain-free adventures.


I'm BIG on strategic rest & taking a periodized approach to training. Now, I feel strong in my body, capable to climb big ass mountains, confident to go out on my own, and I no longer experience chronic injuries.


This is exactly why I created Mtn Ambition. To teach women these methods. You don't have to spend HOURS in the gym to get strong for your outdoor pursuits.


You can get strong & bulletproof yourself against injury without burning yourself to the ground or getting injured along the way.  I'm here to show you how.


This program won't be a walk in the park, but as you already know, nothing worth having comes "easy."

FAQ

  • Can I modify for injuries or chronic aches/pains?

    You will be able to get modifications & guidance throughout the program via coaching feedback. HOWEVER, this is NOT the best program for someone who is recovering from an injury. If you are unsure with your situation, just reach out and I can guide you in the right direction. 

  • What Equipment Will I Need?

    For the beginner version, you will need a set of dumbbells and mini bands. 


    For the intermediate/advanced version, you will need a full gym that includes free weights, barbell, box, pull up bar, slam ball, ect. 

  • What's your refund policy?

    You can request a refund if you are not satisfied with the program within 14 days and receive a full refund - no questions asked. If you decide it’s not for you, you will be taken out of the programming app  to access the workouts and other content. No refunds will be granted after 14 days. 

  • How Will I Access The Workouts?

    Once you've purchased the program, you will recieve an email to setup your training app via Train Heroic.  All sessions  can be accessed 24/7 through this app either on your phone or desktop.

  • Can I get help with form?

    Yes, this program has a 1:1 coaching component where you can send videos & get direct feedback within 48 hours. 

  • How long are the sessions?

    Strength Sessions: 30-60 minutes


    Mobility Sessions: 15 minutes 


    Endurance Sessions: These are optional and can be anywhere from 10-75+ minutes based on your experience leverl.
